Agreement between the National Office of School Publications and the Sonatrach Corporation Petroleum

Supervised by the Minister of National Education, Mr. Abdelhakim Belabid, with his colleague in the Government Minister of Energy and Mines, Mr. Mohamed Araqab and Director-General of the Sonatrach Group Mr. Tawfiq Hakkar, this afternoon, Thursday 09 September 2021, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Education, The signing of an agreement between the National Office for School Publications and the Sonatrach Group, which provides for the preparation of a number of digital departments in educational institutions’s programme, To reflect the outputs of the work of the sectoral committee charged with the follow-up of the digital school project under the programme of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The Convention was developed by Ms. Gualem Nur El-Huda, Central Director of the Directorate-General of the Sonatrach Group (Directrice Corporate Affairs) , and Mr. Yekhlef  Mahmoud, Director-General of the National Office for School Publications, as part of the implementation of the Ministry of Energy and Mines’ commitments to equip a number of digital departments with the necessary technological equipment and means to begin the implementation of the first phase of this project, in preparation for the school income 2021-2022.

In a statement to the media , the Minister noted that the Convention provided for the Sonatrach Group to equip approximately 50 digital sections, as part of the reflection of the digital school project contained in the programme of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which was included in the Government’s plan of action as well as in the plan of the Ministry of National Education.

On the occasion, the Minister commended the active role played by the Minister of Energy and Mines in this process, as well as the Director-General of the Sonatrach Group and all the company’s tyres on this blessed escort to the Algerian school in devoting this promising and important project. He affirmed that the Ministry will endeavour unabated to circulate these schools in order to join our schools to ride the developed countries in this field

The Minister also indicated that there would be similar operations and that the Ministry would bet on all support provided to the sector in order to disseminate this type of school throughout the country. He stressed that it is about modern equipment that will improve the pedagogical and educational performance of our teachers, improve the educational revenues of our students and relieve them of the psychological, physical and physical burdens, so that it will contribute to reducing the portfolio for students in the primary stage.

In the same context, the Minister noted that this was at the beginning of the project and would be gradually circulated to all primary schools, moving to other educational levels.

In conclusion, the Minister reiterated his thanks to the Minister of Energy and Mines and the Director-General of the Sonatrach Group for this support, welcoming everyone who wishes to support the sector in this endeavour to upgrade the school, our children’s level and the professional performance of teachers.
